Artist Statement
The quest for new narrative forms and the exploration of an interval of meaning between action and speech have been present in my installations and video works from the beginning.
The project Genre: Ado adds an approach specifically designed around an ethnographic observation of the language of the body/adolescent. Genre: Adosdeals with this subject by means of a strategy of utterance appropriate to the new media. The very nature of electronic tools makes it easier to work with the interval between the time and the place of image and sound. This artistic choice allows for a detailed exploration of the models of adolescent behaviour, individually and in groups.
