A lyrical suite juxtaposing simple constructions, gestures, objects and landscapes, this project lies within the scope of a process that examines material life -as in matter- and that translates into a strong formal research.
Trouées is a work about detachment. Objects become the first protagonists of the passages and returns of time, of these cycles of transformation, of loss and renewal. The images attest of an introspective gaze devoted to observation, that is both meticulous and tinged with a certain coldness.
Delving into the poetics of absence, of vulnerability and of remembrance, the series unfolds in a deconstructed and fragmented manner. The images are alternatively isolations, traces, embodiments.
