Each season, Les Territoires curates a juried group show for which artists are
invited to submit works of art in respond to a specific theme.

MONOBANDES - Call for videos (max 10 min)

Submission deadline : September 19, 2008
Exhibition : Monobandes, October 24 to November 11, 2008

For its Fall 2008 programming schedule, Les Territoires invites you to submit short videos for the exhibition Monobandes, which will be presented from October 22 to November 11.

Les Territoires will select about twenty single-channel works that will be divided between four different programs playing on loop on three televisions and one large format projection. This exhibition offers local and international artists the opportunity to show independent and/or experimental video works. The juxtaposition of the various works will offer a new perspective on the short videos as well as creating an exchange between artists and diverse contemporary practices in video.

There are no restrictions of theme or on the number of works that one artist can submit. Each single-channel works submitted must not exceed 10 minutes, credits included.

The gallery will contact the selected artists about one week following the deadline. Each artist will then be asked to contribute with a fee of $60 per work selected. Les Territoires is a non-subsidize and non-profit gallery whose mandate is to support emerging artists.

SUBMISSIONS SHOULD INCLUDE :
•  an artist statement (1 page maximum)
•  a curriculum vitae (3 pages maximum)
•  A 720 x 480 Quicktime NTSC (high resolution) including titles and credits.
•  A self-addressed, postage-paid envelope for return of materials (Les territories will dispose of non-claimed materials.)
